The Canadian College of Health Leaders (CCHL), formerly known as the Canadian College of Health Service Executives (CCHSE), is a national, member-driven, non-profit association dedicated to ensuring that the country’s health system benefits from capable, competent and effective leadership.
College members come from every health sector and region in Canada and are at varying stages of their careers. Members include students, and health leaders who work in a variety of environments including medical companies, health authorities, health consultants, multi-level care facilities, hospitals, public and private health agencies, health charities, the Canadian military and all levels of the Canadian government.
NIHI is a Canada-wide institute bringing together experts in Health Informatics (HI).
NIHI has a dominant focus on the problems and issues that are perceived as important by the health system and by private industry as it seeks to deliver the basis for products and services that are needed by the health system.
NIHI serves as a co-ordinator and facilitator in fostering and developing initiatives in academia and industry dedicated to HI research and education.
NIHI offers professional education programs and other outreach initiatives that complement existing programs.
The Health Quality Council of Alberta is a provincial agency that pursues opportunities to improve patient safety and health service quality for Albertans.
The Ontario Physiotherapy Association (OPA) represents over 5500 member physiotherapists, physiotherapist assistants and students. OPA is committed to leadership in physiotherapy through the provision of advocacy, professional development and career support services for its members in order to provide quality physiotherapy to Ontarians.
OPA members engage in best practices to improve outcomes for their patients. Physiotherapists provide one on one and group-based care to patients. They provide treatment in all health care settings in Ontario including: hospitals, long-term care facilities, home care, community-based clinics, schools, private practice clinics and primary care networks. Working with patients, physiotherapists promote independence and prevent injuries and disability.
The Community Health Nurses’ Initiatives Group (CHNIG), an interest group of the Registered Nurses’ Association of Ontario, has as its mission to act as the voice of Community Health Nurses (CHNs) influencing the health care system. Our aim is to influence health and social policy, build capacity and leadership in CHNs, strengthen the profile of CHNs and articulate the significance of their practice, and promote, engage and maximize membership. CHNIG provides opportunities for knowledge exchange, networking with other community health partners and professionals, bursaries and awards, advocating for important community health nursing issues, and influencing best practice development.
